Our Strategy at GeoHazards International is to engage closely with the communities that we serve and bring together the best resources for each situation.

 

We know that disasters do not impact everyone equally. Pre-existing social, economic, and cultural factors are key drivers of vulnerability and exposure, meaning that disasters often have disproportionate impacts on particular groups. We must deeply understand these factors at a local level to develop and implement effective strategies to reduce risk. Integrating perspectives of different groups is fundamental if we ever hope to see better outcomes from future disasters.
